Operations Manager - scheduling and capacity (Indianapolis, IN)

Redstone Oak Foods makes sauces, snacks and prepared meals in Indianapolis, and we need an Operations Manager to lead our scheduling and capacity. You would join a large organisation of about 482 people based in Indianapolis. What you will do • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Track performance measures for customer specifications and act on them. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. What we are looking for • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Good judgement under pressure. Nice to have • Experience with production batches. • Lean or continuous-improvement training. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in Indianapolis, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
