Operations Manager - scheduling and capacity (Indianapolis, IN)

Harborlight Orchard Freight Partners moves freight for manufacturers and retailers out of Indianapolis, and we need an Operations Manager to lead our scheduling and capacity. You would join a large organisation of about 414 people based in Indianapolis. What you will do • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Track performance measures for proof of delivery and act on them. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. What we are looking for • Good judgement under pressure. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. Nice to have • Experience with customer tracking. • Lean or continuous-improvement training. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • On site in Indianapolis. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
