Operations Manager - scheduling and capacity (Houston, TX)

Amberfield Lantern Construction Associates is looking for an Operations Manager. The job centres on scheduling and capacity for project schedules, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. We build things that last and we are honest about schedules. What you will do • Track performance measures for project schedules and act on them. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. What we are looking for • Good judgement under pressure. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. Nice to have • Lean or continuous-improvement training. • Experience with permits. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in Houston, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
