Operations Manager - scheduling and capacity (Hartford, CT)

Bluepeak Pike Manufacturing makes precision components in Hartford, and we need an Operations Manager to lead our scheduling and capacity. Many of our supervisors started on the floor. What you will do • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. What we are looking for • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Good judgement under pressure. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. Nice to have • Lean or continuous-improvement training. • Experience with customer orders. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in Hartford. • We reply to every applicant.
