Operations Manager - scheduling and capacity (Hartford, CT)

Bright Pike Manufacturing makes precision components in Hartford, and we need an Operations Manager to lead our scheduling and capacity. Shifts are steady and overtime is planned. What you will do • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Track performance measures for machine downtime and act on them. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. What we are looking for • Good judgement under pressure. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. Nice to have • Experience with work orders. • Lean or continuous-improvement training. Working arrangement • Full-time, on a regular day shift. • On site in Hartford, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
