Operations Manager - scheduling and capacity (Hartford, CT)

Fernwood Orchard Environmental Services is an environmental-services company in Hartford with routes, transfer stations and recycling, and we need an Operations Manager to lead our scheduling and capacity. We take pride in clean streets. What you will do • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Track performance measures for service complaints and act on them. What we are looking for • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Good judgement under pressure. Nice to have • Experience with landfill records. • Lean or continuous-improvement training.
