Operations Manager - scheduling and capacity (Hartford, CT)

Northwind Kestrel Construction delivers building projects for owners across the Hartford region, and we need an Operations Manager to lead our scheduling and capacity. You would join a small organisation of about 174 people based in Hartford. What you will do • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Track performance measures for materials orders and act on them. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. What we are looking for • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Good judgement under pressure. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. Nice to have • Lean or continuous-improvement training. • Experience with subcontractor invoices. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Hartford. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
