Operations Manager - scheduling and capacity (El Paso, TX)

We are growing our team at Fernwood Lantern Manufacturing Group and adding an Operations Manager whose main responsibility will be scheduling and capacity. You would join a small organisation of about 119 people based in El Paso. What you will do • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Track performance measures for customer orders and act on them. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. What we are looking for • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Good judgement under pressure. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. Nice to have • Experience with work orders. • Lean or continuous-improvement training. Working arrangement • Contract for four months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in El Paso. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
