Operations Manager - scheduling and capacity (Detroit, MI)

Harborlight Yarrow Foods Group produces packaged foods at its Detroit plant. We are hiring an Operations Manager to take on scheduling and capacity. We like people who take pride in what they make. What you will do • Track performance measures for production batches and act on them. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. What we are looking for • Good judgement under pressure. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. Nice to have • Experience with cold storage. • Lean or continuous-improvement training. Working arrangement • Contract for four months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Detroit, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
