Operations Manager - scheduling and capacity (Detroit, MI)

Clearpath Bridge Freight Group coordinates shipments and warehousing around Detroit. We are hiring an Operations Manager to take on scheduling and capacity. Dispatch, drivers and warehouse staff talk to each other constantly. What you will do • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Track performance measures for carrier rates and act on them. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. What we are looking for • Good judgement under pressure. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. Nice to have • Lean or continuous-improvement training. • Experience with customer tracking. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in Detroit. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
