Operations Manager - scheduling and capacity (Des Moines, IA)

Silverline West Environmental Services is looking for an Operations Manager. The job centres on scheduling and capacity for landfill records, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a large organisation of about 647 people based in Des Moines. What you will do • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Track performance measures for landfill records and act on them. What we are looking for • Good judgement under pressure. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. Nice to have • Lean or continuous-improvement training. • Experience with recycling loads.
