Operations Manager - scheduling and capacity (Des Moines, IA)

Harborlight Vale Manufacturing Group makes precision components in Des Moines, and we need an Operations Manager to lead our scheduling and capacity. We value people who work safely and speak up. What you will do • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Track performance measures for scrap and rework and act on them. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. What we are looking for • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Good judgement under pressure. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. Nice to have • Experience with work orders. • Lean or continuous-improvement training. Working arrangement • Full-time, with a steady weekday schedule. • On site in Des Moines. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
