Operations Manager - scheduling and capacity (Des Moines, IA)

Lumen Wren Transit Planning helps transport agencies around Des Moines design routes and schedules, and we need an Operations Manager to lead our scheduling and capacity. You would join a small organisation of about 23 people based in Des Moines. What you will do • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Track performance measures for ridership counts and act on them. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. What we are looking for • Good judgement under pressure. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. Nice to have • Experience with fare systems. • Lean or continuous-improvement training. Working arrangement • Full-time, with a steady weekday schedule. • On site in Des Moines. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
