Operations Manager - scheduling and capacity (Des Moines, IA)

Northwind Meridian Energy is looking for an Operations Manager. The job centres on scheduling and capacity for outage response, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Track performance measures for outage response and act on them. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. What we are looking for • Good judgement under pressure. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. Nice to have • Lean or continuous-improvement training. • Experience with hardship programmes. Working arrangement • Contract for four months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Des Moines. • We reply to every applicant.
