Operations Manager - scheduling and capacity (Des Moines, IA)

Rivermark Meridian Foods is looking for an Operations Manager. The job centres on scheduling and capacity for cold storage, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. Shifts are steady and overtime is planned. What you will do • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. What we are looking for • Good judgement under pressure. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. Nice to have • Experience with sanitation schedules. • Lean or continuous-improvement training.
