Operations Manager - scheduling and capacity (Denver, CO)

Lumen Stone Freight moves freight for manufacturers and retailers out of Denver. We are hiring an Operations Manager to take on scheduling and capacity. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Track performance measures for claims and act on them. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. What we are looking for • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Good judgement under pressure. Nice to have • Experience with carrier rates. • Lean or continuous-improvement training. Working arrangement • Full-time, on a regular day shift. • On site in Denver, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
