Operations Manager - scheduling and capacity (Columbus, OH)

Bluepeak Wren Freight is looking for an Operations Manager. The job centres on scheduling and capacity for loads and lanes, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. What you will do • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Track performance measures for loads and lanes and act on them. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. What we are looking for • Good judgement under pressure. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. Nice to have • Experience with dock schedules. • Lean or continuous-improvement training. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • On site in Columbus, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
