Operations Manager - scheduling and capacity (Columbus, OH)

Westbrook Fern Freight is a Columbus logistics company with trucks, warehouses and dispatch. We are hiring an Operations Manager to take on scheduling and capacity. You would join a small organisation of about 19 people based in Columbus. What you will do • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Track performance measures for customer tracking and act on them. What we are looking for • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Good judgement under pressure. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. Nice to have • Experience with proof of delivery. • Lean or continuous-improvement training. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in Columbus, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We reply to every applicant.
