Operations Manager - scheduling and capacity (Cleveland, OH)

Ironwood Fern Freight coordinates shipments and warehousing around Cleveland, and we need an Operations Manager to lead our scheduling and capacity. You would join a large organisation of about 395 people based in Cleveland. What you will do • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Track performance measures for claims and act on them. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. What we are looking for • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Good judgement under pressure. Nice to have • Lean or continuous-improvement training. • Experience with dock schedules. Working arrangement • Full-time, with a steady weekday schedule. • On site in Cleveland, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
