Operations Manager - scheduling and capacity (Chicago, IL)

Ironwood Meadow Construction is looking for an Operations Manager. The job centres on scheduling and capacity for subcontractor invoices, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a small organisation of about 30 people based in Chicago. What you will do • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Track performance measures for subcontractor invoices and act on them. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. What we are looking for • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Good judgement under pressure. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. Nice to have • Lean or continuous-improvement training. • Experience with safety records. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • On site in Chicago. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
