Operations Manager - scheduling and capacity (Chicago, IL)

Bright Birch Environmental Services is looking for an Operations Manager. The job centres on scheduling and capacity for weigh tickets, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Track performance measures for weigh tickets and act on them. What we are looking for • Good judgement under pressure. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. Nice to have • Lean or continuous-improvement training. • Experience with landfill records. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Chicago. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
