Operations Manager - scheduling and capacity (Chicago, IL)

Lumen Transit Planning is a transit-planning firm in Chicago working with agencies and riders, and we need an Operations Manager to lead our scheduling and capacity. We like people who ride the bus and notice when things do not work. What you will do • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Track performance measures for route schedules and act on them. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. What we are looking for • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Good judgement under pressure. Nice to have • Experience with fare systems. • Lean or continuous-improvement training. Working arrangement • Full-time, with a steady weekday schedule. • On site in Chicago. • We reply to every applicant.
