Operations Manager - scheduling and capacity (Chicago, IL)

Lumen Amber Construction builds commercial and industrial projects around Chicago, and we need an Operations Manager to lead our scheduling and capacity. Good people move up quickly. What you will do • Track performance measures for project schedules and act on them. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. What we are looking for • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Good judgement under pressure. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. Nice to have • Experience with change orders. • Lean or continuous-improvement training. Working arrangement • Full-time, with a steady weekday schedule. • On site in Chicago. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
