Operations Manager - scheduling and capacity (Charlotte, NC)

Northwind Quarry Environmental Services Group collects and processes waste and recycling around Charlotte. We are hiring an Operations Manager to take on scheduling and capacity. You would join a small organisation of about 105 people based in Charlotte. What you will do • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Track performance measures for landfill records and act on them. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. What we are looking for • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Good judgement under pressure. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. Nice to have • Experience with weigh tickets. • Lean or continuous-improvement training. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • On site in Charlotte, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
