Operations Manager - scheduling and capacity (Buffalo, NY)

Foxglove Hollow Freight moves freight for manufacturers and retailers out of Buffalo. We are hiring an Operations Manager to take on scheduling and capacity. Dispatch, drivers and warehouse staff talk to each other constantly. What you will do • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Track performance measures for proof of delivery and act on them. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. What we are looking for • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Good judgement under pressure. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. Nice to have • Experience with dock schedules. • Lean or continuous-improvement training. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in Buffalo. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
