Operations Manager - scheduling and capacity (Buffalo, NY)

Nova Maple Manufacturing manufactures parts and assemblies at its Buffalo plant, and we need an Operations Manager to lead our scheduling and capacity. You would join a small organisation of about 28 people based in Buffalo. What you will do • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Track performance measures for scrap and rework and act on them. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. What we are looking for • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Good judgement under pressure. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. Nice to have • Lean or continuous-improvement training. • Experience with tooling. Working arrangement • Contract for eight months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Buffalo. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
