Operations Manager - scheduling and capacity (Birmingham, AL)

Fernwood Meridian Inspection Services tests and certifies buildings, pipelines and equipment around Birmingham. We are hiring an Operations Manager to take on scheduling and capacity. You would join a small organisation of about 39 people based in Birmingham. What you will do • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Track performance measures for certifications and act on them. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. What we are looking for • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Good judgement under pressure. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. Nice to have • Experience with client sites. • Lean or continuous-improvement training. Working arrangement • Contract for eight months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Birmingham. • We reply to every applicant.
