Operations Manager - scheduling and capacity (Birmingham, AL)

We are growing our team at Lumen Umber Environmental Services and adding an Operations Manager whose main responsibility will be scheduling and capacity. Safety briefings happen every morning. What you will do • Track performance measures for collection routes and act on them. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. What we are looking for • Good judgement under pressure. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. Nice to have • Experience with fleet maintenance. • Lean or continuous-improvement training. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in Birmingham. • We reply to every applicant.
