Operations Manager - scheduling and capacity (Baltimore, MD)

Ironwood Meridian Farms grows and distributes produce from farms near Baltimore. We are hiring an Operations Manager to take on scheduling and capacity. You would join a small organisation of about 138 people based in Baltimore. What you will do • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Track performance measures for field records and act on them. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. What we are looking for • Good judgement under pressure. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. Nice to have • Experience with seasonal crews. • Lean or continuous-improvement training. Working arrangement • Contract for four months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Baltimore. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
