Operations Manager - scheduling and capacity (Baltimore, MD)

Silverline Ember Manufacturing makes precision components in Baltimore. We are hiring an Operations Manager to take on scheduling and capacity. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Track performance measures for scrap and rework and act on them. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. What we are looking for • Good judgement under pressure. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. Nice to have • Lean or continuous-improvement training. • Experience with tooling. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Baltimore. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
