Operations Manager - safety and compliance (Virginia Beach, VA)

Amberfield Fern Inspection Services is an inspection company in Virginia Beach with field technicians and lab staff, and we need an Operations Manager to lead our safety and compliance. You would join a large organisation of about 527 people based in Virginia Beach. What you will do • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Track performance measures for client sites and act on them. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. What we are looking for • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Good judgement under pressure. Nice to have • Experience with equipment calibration. • Lean or continuous-improvement training. Working arrangement • Contract for four months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Virginia Beach. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
