Operations Manager - safety and compliance (Toledo, OH)

Harborlight Stone Freight is looking for an Operations Manager. The job centres on safety and compliance for loads and lanes, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a small organisation of about 93 people based in Toledo. What you will do • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. What we are looking for • Good judgement under pressure. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. Nice to have • Lean or continuous-improvement training. • Experience with carrier rates. Working arrangement • Full-time, with a steady weekday schedule. • On site in Toledo. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
