Operations Manager - safety and compliance (San Jose, CA)

Nova Juniper Transit Planning Group plans bus and rail service for cities around San Jose. We are hiring an Operations Manager to take on safety and compliance. You would join a small organisation of about 26 people based in San Jose. What you will do • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. What we are looking for • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Good judgement under pressure. Nice to have • Lean or continuous-improvement training. • Experience with fare systems. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, mornings. • On site in San Jose. • We reply to every applicant.
