Operations Manager - safety and compliance (San Diego, CA)

Bright Freight coordinates shipments and warehousing around San Diego, and we need an Operations Manager to lead our safety and compliance. We reward reliability. What you will do • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Track performance measures for claims and act on them. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. What we are looking for • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Good judgement under pressure. Nice to have • Lean or continuous-improvement training. • Experience with proof of delivery. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • On site in San Diego. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
