Operations Manager - safety and compliance (San Diego, CA)

We are growing our team at Foxglove Orchard Farms and adding an Operations Manager whose main responsibility will be safety and compliance. Weather sets the schedule, and we plan around it. What you will do • Track performance measures for harvest schedules and act on them. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. What we are looking for • Good judgement under pressure. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. Nice to have • Lean or continuous-improvement training. • Experience with cold storage. Working arrangement • Contract for eight months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in San Diego. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
