Operations Manager - safety and compliance (San Diego, CA)

We are growing our team at Silverline West Freight and adding an Operations Manager whose main responsibility will be safety and compliance. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in San Diego. What you will do • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Track performance measures for proof of delivery and act on them. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. What we are looking for • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Good judgement under pressure. Nice to have • Lean or continuous-improvement training. • Experience with carrier rates. Working arrangement • Contract for four months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in San Diego, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We reply to every applicant.
