Operations Manager - safety and compliance (Salt Lake City, UT)

Fernwood Sable Manufacturing makes precision components in Salt Lake City. We are hiring an Operations Manager to take on safety and compliance. Many of our supervisors started on the floor. What you will do • Track performance measures for machine downtime and act on them. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. What we are looking for • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Good judgement under pressure. Nice to have • Experience with customer orders. • Lean or continuous-improvement training. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Salt Lake City. • We reply to every applicant.
