Operations Manager - safety and compliance (Salt Lake City, UT)

Foxglove Glen Freight is looking for an Operations Manager. The job centres on safety and compliance for carrier rates, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a large organisation of about 956 people based in Salt Lake City. What you will do • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. What we are looking for • Good judgement under pressure. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. Nice to have • Experience with claims. • Lean or continuous-improvement training. Working arrangement • Contract for four months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Salt Lake City, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
