Operations Manager - safety and compliance (Sacramento, CA)

Northwind Manufacturing manufactures parts and assemblies at its Sacramento plant. We are hiring an Operations Manager to take on safety and compliance. You would join a large organisation of about 629 people based in Sacramento. What you will do • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Track performance measures for tooling and act on them. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. What we are looking for • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Good judgement under pressure. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. Nice to have • Lean or continuous-improvement training. • Experience with scrap and rework. Working arrangement • Contract for twelve months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Sacramento. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
