Operations Manager - safety and compliance (remote)

We are growing our team at Cedar Meadow Manufacturing and adding an Operations Manager whose main responsibility will be safety and compliance. You would join a large organisation of about 237 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Track performance measures for customer orders and act on them. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. What we are looking for • Good judgement under pressure. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. Nice to have • Experience with production lines. • Lean or continuous-improvement training. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, spread across three days. • Fully remote, with quarterly visits in Birmingham. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
