Operations Manager - safety and compliance (remote)

Fernwood West Environmental Services collects and processes waste and recycling around San Antonio. We are hiring an Operations Manager to take on safety and compliance. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Track performance measures for weigh tickets and act on them. What we are looking for • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Good judgement under pressure. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. Nice to have • Lean or continuous-improvement training. • Experience with collection routes. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • Fully remote, with quarterly visits in San Antonio. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
