Operations Manager - safety and compliance (remote)

We are growing our team at Fernwood Corner Construction and adding an Operations Manager whose main responsibility will be safety and compliance. You would join a small organisation of about 47 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Track performance measures for change orders and act on them. What we are looking for • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Good judgement under pressure. Nice to have • Lean or continuous-improvement training. • Experience with subcontractor invoices. Working arrangement • Full-time, with a steady weekday schedule. • Fully remote, with an occasional day on site in Anchorage. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
