Operations Manager - safety and compliance (remote)

Northwind Quarry Environmental Services collects and processes waste and recycling around Spokane, and we need an Operations Manager to lead our safety and compliance. You would join a small organisation of about 21 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Track performance measures for weigh tickets and act on them. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. What we are looking for • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Good judgement under pressure. Nice to have • Experience with landfill records. • Lean or continuous-improvement training. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, spread across three days. • Remote-friendly, with an occasional day on site in Spokane. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
