Operations Manager - safety and compliance (remote)

Nova Fern Freight Group coordinates shipments and warehousing around Milwaukee, and we need an Operations Manager to lead our safety and compliance. You would join a small organisation of about 20 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Track performance measures for carrier rates and act on them. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. What we are looking for • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Good judgement under pressure. Nice to have • Lean or continuous-improvement training. • Experience with claims. Working arrangement • Contract for nine months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • Fully remote, with quarterly visits in Milwaukee. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
