Operations Manager - safety and compliance (remote)

Ironwood Sparrow Foods makes sauces, snacks and prepared meals in San Diego, and we need an Operations Manager to lead our safety and compliance. Food safety is non-negotiable and we train for it. What you will do • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Track performance measures for customer specifications and act on them. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. What we are looking for • Good judgement under pressure. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. Nice to have • Lean or continuous-improvement training. • Experience with cold storage. Working arrangement • Full-time, with a steady weekday schedule. • Fully remote, with an occasional day on site in San Diego. • We reply to every applicant.
