Operations Manager - safety and compliance (remote)

Rivermark Ashton Foods Group is a Des Moines food manufacturer supplying grocers and food-service customers, and we need an Operations Manager to lead our safety and compliance. Shifts are steady and overtime is planned. What you will do • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Track performance measures for cold storage and act on them. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. What we are looking for • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Good judgement under pressure. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. Nice to have • Lean or continuous-improvement training. • Experience with allergen controls. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • Fully remote, with quarterly visits in Des Moines. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
