Operations Manager - safety and compliance (remote)

Westbrook Wilder Construction is a Columbus contractor with project managers, trades and support staff. We are hiring an Operations Manager to take on safety and compliance. We build things that last and we are honest about schedules. What you will do • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Track performance measures for permits and act on them. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. What we are looking for • Good judgement under pressure. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. Nice to have • Experience with safety records. • Lean or continuous-improvement training. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, with flexible days. • Remote-friendly, with an occasional day on site in Columbus. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
