Operations Manager - safety and compliance (remote)

Summit Oak Environmental Services serves homes and businesses with collection and disposal in Seattle, and we need an Operations Manager to lead our safety and compliance. You would join a large organisation of about 819 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Track performance measures for recycling loads and act on them. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. What we are looking for • Good judgement under pressure. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. Nice to have • Experience with weigh tickets. • Lean or continuous-improvement training. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • Fully remote, with an occasional day on site in Seattle. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
