Operations Manager - safety and compliance (remote)

Northwind Bright Water Authority supplies drinking water and treats wastewater for San Jose and nearby communities, and we need an Operations Manager to lead our safety and compliance. Crews and office staff work closely together. What you will do • Track performance measures for treatment plant data and act on them. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. What we are looking for • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Good judgement under pressure. Nice to have • Experience with pipe repairs. • Lean or continuous-improvement training. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, afternoons. • Fully remote, with a monthly team day in San Jose. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
