Operations Manager - safety and compliance (remote)

Westbrook Lakeside Foods produces packaged foods at its San Jose plant. We are hiring an Operations Manager to take on safety and compliance. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Track performance measures for allergen controls and act on them. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. What we are looking for • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Good judgement under pressure. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. Nice to have • Experience with customer specifications. • Lean or continuous-improvement training. Working arrangement • Contract for three months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • Fully remote, with quarterly visits in San Jose. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
